I visited Dr Sandeep with my 77 year old mother at the Diab Care Clinic in Mulund West toay. He is not my mother's eye doctor but since Dr Dharmen, my mothers consulting diabetician recommended that a Fundus test be done before seeing him and Dr Sandeep consults at the same clinic, we took an appointment with him.
The appointment given to us was 9.45 am and the Dr landed up at 10.30 am. ******* * **** * ***** ***** *** ***** ***** * **** ** ****** ** ***** * *** **** ** ****** ** **** ******* **** ******* *** ** ******* **** *** *** ** **** **** **** ** ******* ***** *** **** ***** ****** ********* ** ***** ************* ****** **** * **** ** *** ** ***** ** *** ******* ** *** ******* ******** **** *** ************** My mother has a vision of under 30% and a hearing problem. As soon as we entered, she went and sat on the examination bed and unknowningly was ready to lay down for the check up. It didnt strike her that she had to sit up.. She did not realise that the doctors briefcase was on the examination bed and was about to rest her head on it. ** ***** ****** ** **** * *** **** *** ****** *** **** *** *** ****** ** *** ** ****** *** ***** * ******* **** *** ****** *** ** ********* *** ****** *** **** **** Then came the part when he started checking her eye. Most doctors say " Aunty/Ma'm can you look left, up. down, etc". He started with a rough tone of Look straight, left, right, etc. Then he said aloud in front of her " Her vision is very poor, she has developed so much glaucoma since her last visit, **** ** **** ******* ****** ****** ****
I mean when you're in front of a patient who is already dealing with poor vision, does one speak like that in front of them and make them feel worse??? I told him that I hadnt carried the other reports since he wasnt the doctor so if he could help me understand what my current doctor was not able to help with. ** **** ** ***** * **** ** ********* **** **** ******* ****** ** ***** ********* *** ** **** ** *********** ******The fact that I have taken time to write this experience means **** ** *** * ******** ********** ** **** ** ***** **** ******** There is grace and nobility in being a doctor.
